Keira T, currently in Grade 10 and who has been with HCOS since grade 5, has recently qualified for the world competition in Irish Dancing taking place in April, 2022 in Belfast, Ireland.
Keira overcame an early Fall injury only to be cleared to rehearse during the months leading up to the Oireachtas competition. Oireachtas is the major competition for all of Western Canadian Irish dancers. With a short timeframe to prepare, she trained hard with the goal of qualifying in the top three which would lead to qualifications for the Worlds Competition.
Well – she did it! Out of 36 in her category, she placed third overall and is headed to Ireland in the spring. Congratulations, Keira! We are celebrating your success and know you will do great things at Worlds!
