With over 25 years of experience in education, including many years supporting Indigenous learners and communities, Toni brings a unique blend of educational experience, cultural understanding, and relational care to this role.

Hi Families,
I wanted to take this time to introduce myself. My name is Toni Boer. I live in Prince George, BC with my husband and two of our five children and our two grandchildren.
I started my journey in Education at 19 when I accepted a position with SD 57 in Prince George as an Education Assistant/interpreter for the deaf. In 2000 I began working as an Indigenous Education Assistant and shortly after that took a position as an Indigenous Education Worker, where I worked until I began my Bachelor of Education full time. In 2017 I graduated from UNBC with a Bachelor of Education and worked at Westside Academy until joining HCOS in 2025.
I was raised in a Christian home and have seen and felt God’s love and grace over my life through the years. My husband and I attend Fort George Baptist Church in Prince George where he plays on the music team and I am the Children Ministry Coordinator.
I love stories, both telling and listening to people’s stories. I strongly believe that story helps create and strengthen community and relationships.
I am Cree from the Beaverlake Nation in Alberta, but was born and raised in Prince George. I did not grow up immersed in culture, but have found it over the years. I have watched God use my love for him and my ability to see how beautifully woven together the First Peoples Principles of Learning align with Biblical worldview to support teachers and schools over the years.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy music, singing and drumming, camping and spending time with my family. I know I am happiest when all my people are in the same room.
I look forward to taking this new step with HCOS and supporting both the families and the teachers who work alongside them.
