Welcome to the New School Year at HCOS!

Hello HCOS Community!

Welcome to the 2024/2025 school year! We are looking forward to an exciting year ahead at HCOS. We are so grateful to partner with you in education, and we want to warmly welcome you to the new school year!

We are excited about the year ahead and this ever expanding community that we are part of. We are privileged to welcome back our returning families and to welcome many new families. For those newly joining us, we hope you find this a dynamic, warm, and innovative group of educators who encourage, support and inspire you in your education journey.

Every year our school chooses a year long focus and this year ours is:

To celebrate God’s faithfulness while moving forward into His design for our schools,

united in clarity of purpose,

engaged in thoughtful communication.

This focus is grounded in Habakkuk 1:5, which says “Look among the nations, and see; wonder and be astounded. For I am doing a work in your days that you would not believe if told.”

Last week at our annual RenewED staff conference, we celebrated the 20th Anniversary of HCOS. It’s remarkable to look back and see God’s faithfulness and His hand on this school. Twenty years ago no one could have predicted how many students and families HCOS would serve, nor how many various options and programs would be available. Yet God knew all of this before the thought of HCOS ever entered someone’s mind.

So this year we intend to come together as a community to celebrate God’s faithfulness along our journey, and to press forward into all that He has next for us. We hope you see the result of this focus in what we do and say and that your journey with HCOS becomes even more supportive during this year.

We wish you a warm welcome to the school year with HCOS! We are so thankful you have chosen to partner with us, and we pray you feel cared for and supported in your home education journey this year.

Sincerely,

Sara Kraushar, Head of Schools

Craig Kwiatkowski, Chief Operating Officer
