A Passion for Storytelling
Seby M. has always loved stories, and now he’s written one of his own—a book about a homeschool family that embarks on an exciting adventure! His novel, a real-life fiction story, is inspired by the world around him and his own homeschooling experience.
The book is set in a fictional coastal city and follows a family’s experiences in homeschooling, learning, and growing together.
The Flexibility of Home Education
Thanks to the flexibility of home education, Seby had the time and creative freedom to bring his ideas to life.
“Because I was homeschooled, I had the time and used my own experiences to write about the kids’ life in the book,” he explains.
Being able to structure his learning around his passion for storytelling allowed Seby to dedicate time to writing and developing his characters and plot.
Lessons Learned and What’s Next
Writing a book was no small feat, and Seby quickly discovered that patience and persistence are key.
“I learned that it takes a long time, and it is important to stay motivated to finish it. And, I think it is hard to get published, so I’m glad you can self-publish!” he says.
And his journey doesn’t end here—Seby has plans for a sequel and dreams of making his story into a full series!
