Introducing Olivia B, an HCOS student who has spent her high school years balancing full-time work with her studies! Her journey is a tremendous example of how flexibility and dedication open doors to exciting new opportunities.
- Determined to Succeed
For Olivia, dedication has always been a part of her journey. She began working at just 14 years old, and by 16, she was balancing full-time hours while continuing her studies through HCOS.
“This year I was able to work full-time hours at my job while finishing Grade 12,” Olivia shares. “I have been able to save up for college.”
Her hard work is paying off, literally and figuratively. Thanks to her persistence, Olivia has saved for her future and recently received exciting news:
“I just got accepted into a criminology diploma at my local college!”
- Flexibility Fueling Ambition
Through HCOS, Olivia found the flexibility she needed to build her own path. With a personalized schedule and the ability to learn at her own pace, she could focus on what mattered most for her future in criminology, all while gaining valuable experience at her job.
- A Future of Discovery
Now, as Olivia works toward college, she carries with her everything she has learned from her work experience: time management, communication, and problem-solving. Olivia is proof that when students are given the freedom to learn in ways that suit their goals, they can thrive in and out of the classroom.
