The Great HCOS Student Council Cookie Competition

Christmas is in the Air!

With Christmas under two months away, your HCOS student council is bringing back the Christmas Cookie Competition! Much like last year, we want to invite all HCOS students and families to join in the fun. with different grade groups and different themes to inspire your creations:

  • K-2: North Pole (Santa, Elves, Reindeer, etc.)
  • 3-5: Ugly Sweater
  • 6-9: Nativity
  • 10-12: Home Alone

The idea is to make cookies inspired by the movie or book that has been designated for your group. For example, if your theme was the Santa Claus movie, you could create cookies that look like a red coat or make an entire scene from the movie. Feel free to be creative and display your ideas at whatever skill level you are at!

This competition is more than just fun; it can be considered educational, too! It can be submitted as Art and ADST, and you can have a fun time in the kitchen with family, friends, or even by yourself!

You are welcome to make any kind of cookies, including, but not limited to, gingerbread, sugar cookies, and chocolate chip cookies. You can also add any edible items you want to enhance your creation. Gingerbread house kits may be used, but you need to add your own unique flair, and it must be disclosed in the description of your creation.

For those who don’t have a recipe of their own to use, use one of these links to help you get started: Recipe 1, Recipe 2, Recipe 3, Recipe 4

No cookie cutters? No problem! Print or cut out a piece of paper or parchment paper in the shape that you need and use that as your outline!

Once you have finished your cookie creation, you can submit it here:

Submissions will be open from November 17  to December 13th. The winners of each category will be placed in a random draw for the grand prize. The winner will be announced on our Student Council Activities page.

So, if you enjoy baking, want to spend quality time with your friends and family, or just want to start Christmas already, join the HCOS Student Council Christmas Cookie Competition! We look forward to seeing all of your amazing culinary creations!
