The Position:
We are looking for an independent contractor who is certified to teach in BC for our Chilliwack Community Connections program location. Community Connections (CC) are in person learning opportunities that are typically one-half to one full day per week, usually between 12 and 24 weeks. At CC students participate in meaningful and hands-on activities in a class setting with a home-education flavour led by certified teachers with some community or parent instructors.
- Art, Science, Social Studies, Outdoor Education (Grades K/1)
- 0.18 FTE, one day (Tuesday) on-site for 24 weeks at Charis Camp and Conference Centre.
- 2025-26 school year
Qualifications:
- BC Teacher Certification is an asset
- Previous experience teaching relevant subjects
- Previous experience teaching CC/CC+ is preferred
- Ability to build relationships and work relationally with students, parents, coordinator and other team members
- Flexible attitude towards adapting to students and situation
What we offer:
- Competitive Wage: $9,000-10,000/year based on 0.18 FTE and depending on experience and certifications
