As a Math Curriculum Development Intern: You will be joining a team of passionate educators developing world-class digital curriculum for online schools. This arena is fraught with challenges: When students are taking an online course, the slightest error can derail them. Teachers need detailed answer keys and content needs to be inclusive and accessible for all learners.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Verify the quality, accuracy, and accessibility of StudyForge math courses
- Verify accuracy of solutions and examples within instructional and assessment content
- Assess error reports and client complaints, suggesting solutions in a timely and creative manner
- Translate instructional videos into written instruction
- Create alternate text for images and diagrams, describing them for the visually impaired
- Create STEM content for grades 5-12
- Write helpful, clear, and professional detailed solutions to practice questions and assessments
- Duplicate existing assessment questions and change content to create robust question banks
- Use web forms to create math content within the StudyForge platform
- Support other teams with content knowledge as necessary
- Contribute to the culture of StudyForge
- Represent the values and mission of HCOS and StudyForge well, in all internal or external communications
- Be willing to receive feedback, collaborate with others, and actively participate in creating a better workplace for everyone
- Give open and honest feedback about potential problems with the product, your job, or the work environment
To qualify for this role you have:
- The ability to explain math concepts clearly
- Completed at least one year of a post-secondary mathematics program or a related field
- An excellent understanding of middle- and high-school math concepts
- A passion for details, with an eye for noticing mistakes and inconsistencies
- A penchant for picking up new technologies quickly
- Understanding of LaTeX editing tools to create mathematical formulas and equations

StudyForge’s mission is to empower educators with world-class resources that equip learners to reach their potential.
We create digital curriculum for middle school and high school, and we host that curriculum on our proprietary platform. We provide an end-to-end curriculum product to schools, including instruction, interactive practice, randomized assessment, projects, and detailed solutions.
The StudyForge team is the curriculum development department of Heritage Christian Online School (HCOS), a K-12 Distributed Learning school, providing fully-accredited education to students in BC. In addition, StudyForge’s digital curriculum is licensed to other schools across Canada and the United States, serving tens of thousands of students every year.
What we can offer you:
- Salary: $22.20 – $22.77/hour
- Position starts as soon as possible and ends on June 30, 2026
- Part-time with flexible hours, between 8 and 24 hours per week
