The Marketing Specialist Intern will assist in creating, implementing, and evaluating marketing and communication initiatives to enhance our brand presence, engage our audience, and promote our programs and services.

The StudyForge team is the curriculum development department of Heritage Christian Online School. StudyForge creates curriculum which is licensed to other schools across Canada and the United States, serving tens of thousands of students every year. StudyForge is a non-profit digital curriculum company dedicated to creating innovative, engaging, and effective online courses throughout North America. Using our powerful software, StudyForge courses utilize best practices in online digital learning to create memorable educational experiences for middle- and high-school students.

The Position

We are seeking a creative and motivated Marketing Specialist Intern to join our team for an 8-week summer position, working remotely (Pacific Time). This role is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs program, aimed at helping youth gain valuable work experience. The intern will assist in creating, implementing, and evaluating marketing and communication initiatives to enhance our brand presence, engage our audience, and promote our programs and services. 

The ideal candidate will be passionate about marketing, skilled in digital communication, and eager to learn and contribute to meaningful projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the creation and rollout of marketing campaigns across a variety of channels (social media, email, advertising) to increase awareness and interest
  • Monitor and analyze marketing performance using analytics tools and prepare clear reports
  • Coordinate with internal teams to align marketing strategies with organizational goals
  • Assist with market research to help identify audience needs and opportunities
  • Support other marketing and communications tasks as required

Qualifications

  • Must meet eligibility requirements for the Canada Summer Jobs program
    • Be between the ages of 15 and 30 at the start of the employment period
    • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person on refugee protection with a valid work permit
    • Be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
    • Currently pursuing or recently completed post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work both independently and as part of a team
  • A creative mindset and attention to detail
  • Experience with social media platforms preferred
  • Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) are an asset
  • Knowledge of website management systems (e.g., WordPress) is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with email marketing tools (e.g., Hubspot) is a plus.
  • Experience with Google Workspace (Google Docs, Slides, Sheets, Drive) is preferred

What we Offer

  • $18.25/hour, 35 hours per week
  • 8 week position (June 1-July 24, some flexibility on start/end date)
  • Remote position, working 8:30AM-4:30PM Pacific Time
