The Learning Experience Design Assistant Manager will advance the culture and mission of StudyForge by providing key operational support for the Learning Experience Design team

Heritage Christian Online School is a thriving online learning community offering K-12 home and online education to students across the province. StudyForge is the curriculum development department of HCOS that creates and licenses innovative, engaging, and effective digital resources for tens of thousands of middle and high school students across North America, founded on best practices in digital learning refined over the last 17 years.

StudyForge has an opening for a Learning Experience Design Assistant Manager. This is a full-time, remote, permanent position, working 40 hours per week. The primary purpose of this position is to advance the culture and mission of StudyForge by providing key operational support for the Learning Experience Design team. This role collaborates closely with the LXD team to optimize production workflows, ensure rigid quality standards, and guarantee the timely delivery of engaging learning experiences. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with writers and other team members in designing interactive and engaging learning experiences
  • Work with the curriculum developers to create StudyForge learning objects
  • Accurately enter content developed by course writers
  • Work with other LXD team members to develop and maintain automated workflows
  • Build and maintain course shells within multiple learning management systems, ensuring consistency and accuracy of all course elements
  • Track down complex support requests and find fixes to curriculum content issues
  • Respond to clients in a professional and helpful manner
  • Repair, update and maintain existing curriculum products and web properties
  • Ensure the successful and timely implementation of curriculum projects, proactively addressing issues and supporting team members 
  • Other related duties as required.
  • Participate as a member of a dynamic and exciting culture within the LXD team
  • Represent mission and values of HCOS and StudyForge well, in all internal or external communications
  • Give and receive constructive feedback about problems with the job, work environment, or product, and actively participate in creating a better workplace for everyone
  • Be willing to contribute to other aspects of StudyForge curriculum, software, business, initiatives, etc., and projects from other divisions in the society, as time permits

  • Technical proficiencies for this role:
    • Proficient in project management
    • Organized and can work with multiple tasks; able to prioritize
    • A general knowledge of some or all of the following technologies and software:
      • HTML/CSS/Javascript
      • Adobe Product Suite
      • GIT
      • Project Management Software
      • Understanding of CSS preprocessors like SASS or LESS
      • Graphic editing software
      • Audio and video editing
      • Animate CC or other 2D animation software
    • Strong academic background

What we offer

  • Salary range: $56,245.36-$59,136.67 annually, depending on experience
  • 40 hours per week
  • Flexible hours of work within standard business hours Pacific Time
  • Occasional travel to meetings, conferences
