Eden M.’s Mission Trip: Learning, Helping, and Exploring

Meet Eden M., a remarkable fifth-grader who’s making a difference and leaving a meaningful impact far beyond her local community.

Eden recently embarked on a life-changing mission trip with her family as part of their church team, volunteering with the Father’s Heart Mobility Ministry. In fact, this isn’t her first time! Eden has traveled to Uganda twice with her family, combining a passion for service, learning, and exploration.

“With home education, we learn as we go, so I am able to do these things without getting behind,” she explains.

What Makes This Experience Special?

For Eden, traveling to different parts of the world provides a unique and enriching perspective. “I love going to other places in the world because they are different from home,” she shares. Through each mission, Eden grows more grateful for her blessings and becomes even more committed to creating a positive impact.

A Passionate Blend of Learning and Service

Eden’s most recent trip to Uganda was packed with meaningful moments and unique experiences that highlight her diverse interests:

  • Caring for Animals and Exploring Nature:
“I am passionate about animals and helping people, and this trip had both of those things. In Uganda, we went on a bird tour and a safari to learn about Africa’s birds and animals. After the bird tour, my Dad taught us and our Ugandan friends’ Nature Club how to draw birds. We drew a Kingfisher.”
  • Making a Difference in People’s Lives:
“Besides handing out the wheelchairs, we went to Loving Hearts Babies Home where we gave the Aunties a break and helped with the little ones. I helped by playing with the children and feeding her lunch.”
