How Tykieda B. Became a Published Artist

For many students, achievements like being published in a magazine may feel like a far-off dream—but not for Grade 10 HCOS student Tykieda B.

A naturally creative individual, Tykieda’s talent was recognized this year in an extraordinary way when her artistic work was published. This milestone represents more than just seeing her art in print; it’s about validation and recognition as an artist.

“It helps me feel recognized and like an artist,” she shared, reflecting on what this achievement means to her.

A Lesson in Growth and Investment

This accomplishment wasn’t just about the final outcome; it highlights the effort and dedication she has poured into her craft. “[I’ve learned] that I am able to fully invest myself in my art,” she explained. This realization has further motivated her to keep creating and sharing her work with the world.

Freedom to Pursue Passions

“I have the resources and freedom to put my full attention on my passion of being an artist.”

HCOS is proud to be part of Tykieda’s success, allowing her time to focus on developing her talent while staying on track with her studies.

What’s Next?

Tykieda is far from finished with her artistic journey. She’s determined to continue creating and sharing her art with the world. With her incredible talent, we can’t wait to see what the future holds for her.
